The Knights

Doncaster Knights are a team that are taking part in the inaugral Rugby Championship, having won promotion to that level in April 2005.

That promotion was the eighth in fifteen seasons of league rugby, a unique achievement in the English game. Read more about the history and progress of the club in the "About us" section on this site.

Doncaster RFC, the most promoted team in English Rugby history rebranded as the Knights in 2006, an easy decision as they play at Castle Park.

The Knights are a full time professional outfit, that also compete in the British and Irish Cup as well as the second tier of English Rugby. This has them entertaining such sides as Cardiff and Scottish Premiership inners Ayr at Castle Park this season.
