I was beginning to think we didn't do Colts anymore -
given the zero website and Forum reference to Colts this
season. But here below is an RFU Press Release of today.
Be good to keep the "Rugby for All" thing alive.....

North trio on National Colts Cup trail
Wednesday January 27, 2010
Issued by Tony Simpson, RFU Press Officer

Doncaster, Westoe and Dinnington will be flying the flag
for the North in Round Five of the Investabroad
Properties National Colts Cup.

Westoe will visit Moseley, who won the inaugural
competition in 1998, having progressed in their previous
game as the 'away side' in a 15-15 draw at Middlesbrough,
while Dinnington also edged through by the same process
after drawing 5-5 at Bradford & Bingley.

Doncaster were 29-17 winners at Wilmslow and now go on
the road again to Leighton Buzzard.

The Investabroad Properties National Colts Cup was
introduced for the 1997/98 season as part of the East
Midlands RU's Centenary celebrations.

It is still organised and administered by East Midlands
and has continued to grow in popularity.

Investabroad Properties National Colts Cup
Fifth round draw (Midlands and North): Lichfield v
Bedford Blues, Moseley v Westoe, Leighton Buzzard v
Doncaster, Bedford Athletic v Dinnington.

Ties to be played on or before February 14.

Allan you should ask about these things, before commenting negatively. I'm sure I will be implicated somewhere though, lol.

The Colts now control their own website and news sections.

Obviously I received that Press release before I left, but  the amount of website content has increased so much compared to the old days.  It is limited to four news stories per day, to allow "front page time" to stories.

As there were four news stories yesterday and it arrived late, it will be on today's list.

As the Meerkat says.

"Simples".

Anything else, just ask.

Err, have a look at the Colts "website" and we see nothing
in way of news or match reports for a long time. (same with
Phoenix, sadly). Experience tells me that if "control" of
their bits of the DRFC website is handed to constituent
parts, then the feed dries up.
I would have hoped that the Forum would attract input,
though!

All sections of the club now manage their own web site. The onus is on Colts, M/J's, Phoenix, Demons and Dragons to populate and update.

We would all appreciate periodic updates on the Colts progress.

Good luck in your match with Buzzard.
